It is not enough for us simply to acknowledge God’s bare existence; we must celebrate his majesty. “God is glorified,” said Jonathan Edwards, “not only by His glory’s being seen, but by its being rejoiced in.”23 This is where we will find our highest joy and greatest satisfaction: in the worship of our creator God. As Augustine famously said, “You stir man to take pleasure in praising you, because you have made us for yourself, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”24
